Meddle with the Devil

As part of the Scottish Arts Council partners’ residency, artists Alex Hetherington and Janie Nicoll present Meddle with the Devil, an installation of work and documentation of their first five months of arts residency in the high-rise flats and Callendar House.

Art/Home Movies/High Rise Cinemas
Sat & Sun: 1pm – 9pm. Free
Alex Hetherington and Janie Nicoll present a screening of international artists’ videos combined with home movies and footage supplied by the residents of the high-rise flats at Callendar Park. A site-specific installation based around a rooftop screening, viewable only by the residents of the flats.

Tut-Vu Vu and Fool for a Pretty Face
Sat: 4pm. Free
Performances by two innovative, experimental Glasgow-based bands. Fool for a Pretty Face have been commissioned to create new versions of songs by Donna Summer, Kraftwerk and Bob Dylan, while Tut-Vu Vu will perform a set of their intoxicating, mesmerising sound systems. Jim Colquhoun

A performance reading from Glasgow-based artist Jim Colquhoun. Contains strong language.

House/Lights
Sun: 4.30pm
Alex Hetherington presents a re-enactment of House/Lights by The Wooster Group using a newly-established performance group, The Manhattan Band as the cast for this performance, which combines live and pre-recorded video and sound.
