UK PREMIERE

After the spectacular Hello Mr. Joe at the debut Big in Falkirk in 2000, France’s Compagnie Jo Bithume returns with the thrilling retelling of the classic Frankenstein. Get ready to be inspired and enthralled as Victor Frankenstein is staged all around the audience in the Company’s inimitable style.

A boat is shipwrecked, trapped in the ice. As a dying man is hauled aboard, a giant shadow appears. The boat splits into pieces, transforming into a mountain, then a laboratory, and into a castle. The actors and musicians perform in the middle, around and above the audience revealing the story of Victor Frankenstein and his Creature.

Compagnie Jo Bithume, with the help of the set designers from Lucie Lom, revisits the Frankenstein myth to create a show for ages eight and over. A theatrical, visual and acrobatic performance, with music and film projection. A moment of poetry, drama and comedy to be shared with 3000 people on a public place transformed for the occasion.
