The Human League

On Saturday, we are delighted to welcome the legendary electro-pop of The Human League.

The band was originally formed in 1977 by Ian Craig-Marsh and Martyn Ware who invited Phil Oakey to come on board as vocalist. In 1980, Ian and Martyn left to become Heaven 17 and Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Gayle joined as singers. They went on to spawn some of the biggest songs of the decade including the massive Number One single Don’t You Want Me, along with Love Action, Fascination and Mirror Man. Following a hiatus, Oakey, Catherall and Gayle returned in 1995 with the LP Octopus and hit single Tell Me When. The band has recently enjoyed a huge resurgence in popularity, playing to sell-out stadium crowds.
