Getting to Falkirk
First Buses operate fast, reliable services from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Livingston and Alloa direct to Falkirk Bus Station (approx 3 minutes from Callendar Park). For information on how to travel to Falkirk, please contact www.travelinescotland.com or call 0870 608 2 608 (calls charged at national call rate).Parking availability for Big in Falkirk in Falkirk Town Centre and around Callendar Park will be extremely limited. It could be a wise move to make use of the Park + Ride Service which runs Monday to Saturdays from the CCTV protected Three Bridges Car Park situated to the west of Falkirk at the junction of the A803 and the A883.
This location is particularly suitable for vehicles approaching Falkirk from the south and west via the A80 and M876. These vehicles should turn off the M876 at Junction 1 and follow the A883 towards Falkirk.
Vehicles from the north should exit the M9 at Junction 9 and follow the A872 to Denny and then take the A883 towards Falkirk.
From the east, follow the M9 to Junction 8, taking the M876 towards Glasgow and exiting at Junction 1 thereafter following the A883 towards Falkirk.
For route confirmation from all three directions, the brown tourist signs for the Falkirk Wheel lead directly to the Park + Ride site.
The local Bus Services 1 and 2 run every ten minutes and will take you from the Park + Ride to Callendar Road leading to the venue for Big in Falkirk.
Buses on this service calling at the 3 Bridges Park + Ride site leave Callendar Road every ten minutes until 5:50pm with later departures to the stop at the Park + Ride entrance at 6.23pm 6.53pm 7.18pm and every 30 minutes until 10.48pm.
For visitors wishing to enjoy the evening entertainment there’s also the X37 bus service from Stand 6 at Falkirk Bus Station which runs hourly at 6.15pm 7.15pm 8.15pm 9.15pm and 11.15pm and will take you back to the 3 Bridges Park+ Ride area.
All these buses also stop at Newmarket Street and Falkirk Bus Station.
Your journey will take approx. 15 minutes depending on the volume of traffic.
